This piece is under construction, largely because I'm just getting into it.
Over the last few weeks I've been looking at the way agave and yucca and cactus have been worked into various landscapes. The city is getting more and more into xeriscaping for low or no water use on lawns. Obviously, that points te way to greater use of drought tolerant plants.
In general, that means lots of gravel and occasional plants, which isn't very appealing. Where people are putting their back into more creative use of agave, they're getting big returns.
I picked up this pic recently, which is a good example of just how good it can get.
